SEC. 11. And be it enacted, That the provisions of the
Code of Public General Laws of Maryland now in force or
hereafter enacted, applicable to collectors of State and county
taxes, except when the same are repealed by, or are inconsist-
ent with the provisions of this act, shall be held to apply to
the treasurer of said county, who as to his powers, rights, duties
and liabilities, civil and criminal, and those of his bond or
bondsmen, shall be in all respects on a footing with the State
and county colleptors, except as herein provided; and that all
acts or parts of acts inconsistent herewith, be and the same are
hereby repealed.

SEC. 12. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 318.

AN ACT to repeal Sections two hundred and thirteen to two
hundred and eighteen, inclusive, of Chapter five hundred and
seventy-eight, Acts of eighteen hundred and ninety-four,
respecting the appointment and election of a County Treas-
urer and Collector of State and County taxes in Somerset
County, and to enact the follow sections to Article twenty
of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Somerset County,"
sub-title "Revenue and Taxes," in lieu thereof.

Effective.

SEC. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That sections two hundred and thirteen to two hundred
and eighteen of Chapter five hundred and seventy-eight of the
Acts of eighteen hundred ninety-four, relating to the appoint-
ment and election of a county treasurer and collector of State
and county taxes in Somerset county, are hereby repealed and
the following sections to Article twenty of the Code of
Public Local Laws, title "Somerset County," sub-title "Reve-
nue and Taxes," are enacted in lieu thereof.

Repeal.

213. The County of Somerset shall be divided into four
collection districts as follows: the first to be composed of Prin-
cess Anne, Dublin, Fairmount and Mount Vernon election
districts; the second, of St. Peter's, Dames Quarter and Tan-
gist election districts; the third, Brinkley's, Lawsons, Crisfield
and any other election districts which may be created; and the
fourth, of Smith's Island election district.
