LLOYD LOWNDES, ESQUIRE, GOVERNOR.

Kensington, in the county of Montgomery, be and they are
hereby authorized to construct a system of sewerage for the
use of the said town, on such plan as shall meet with the
approval of the State Board of Health.

May con-
struct sewers.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That for the purpose of paying
for the cost of said system of sewerage, the Mayor and Com-
mon Council of paid town, and their successors in office, are
hereby authorized to incur a debt not exceeding five thousand
dollars ($5,000); and the said Mayor and Council, and their
successors, shall annually levy a tax on the assessable property
within the limits of said town sufficient to pay the interest on
said debt, and not less than fifty dollars ($50) per annum on
the principal thereof.

May borrow
money.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 315.

AN ACT to repeal Sections two, three and nine of Chapter
four hundred and thirty of the Acts of the General Assem-
bly of Maryland of eighteen hundred and eighty-eight
entitled "An Act to incorporate the Community of Mountain
Lake Park," a corporation incorporated under the general
laws of Maryland, and to re-enact the same with amend-
ments.

Effective.


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That sections two, three and nine of chapter four hundred
and thirty of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland,
eighteen hundred and eighty-eight, entitled, "An Act to incor-
porate the Community of Mountain Lake Park," a corpora
tion incorporated under the General Laws of Maryland, be and
the same are hereby repealed and re-enacted so as to read as
follows :

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said community is not to
have passed or acquire any political franchises whatsoever, nor
any of those powers ordinarily distinguishing public or municipal
corporations from corporations or associations merely private
but the sole object and powers of the said Community of
Mountain Lake, shall be to exercise those police and sanitary
