Article 23 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland,
title " Baltimore County," sub-title " Nuisances," to be known
as section 170 A, and to* read as follows :

170 A. Any person occupying any real property or chattels
real in Baltimore county, either as tenant or owner thereof, or
any person owning unoccupied real estate or chattels real in
said county, who shall knowingly allow any dead carcass of
any domestic animals to be exposed upon said premises without
burial for a longer period than twenty-four hours, shall, upon
presentment and conviction thereof, be deemed guilty of a rnis-
demeanor, and shall be liable to a fine of twenty dollars or im-
prisonment for not less than ten days for each offense, in the
discretion of the court.

Effective.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 224.
AN ACT to repeal sub-section 2 of Chapter 600 of the acts
of the General Assembly of Maryland, as passed at the
January Session, 1890, and to re-enact the same with amend-
ments.

Repeal.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That sub-section 2 of chapter 600 of the acts of the
General Assembly of Maryland, as passed at the January ses-
sion, 1890, be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted
so as to read as follows :

SUB-SEC. 2. The clerk of the Circuit Court for Dorchester
county shall, upon application of any owner, who has been a
bona fide resident of said county for the term of twelve months
next preceding such application, and to no other person, issue
a license to such owner to employ his boat, canoe or vessel in
taking and catching crabs with scrapes, drags, dredges, or
similar instruments, in the waters of Dorchester county, the
Great Choptank river excepted; provided, said boat, canoe or
Teasel has been owned in whale by residents of said county
for the six months next preceding the date of such applica-
tion; provided said boat, canoe or vessel be six months or
