judgment recovered in the Court of Common Pleas, the Supe-
rior Court of Baltimore city, or the Baltimore City Court, but
such supersedeas shall be taken by the clerks of said courts,
respectively.

Effective.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

Approved April 2d, 1896.

CHAPTER 208:

AN ACT to authorize the County Commissioners of Balti-
more County to borrow a sum of money, not to exceed one
hundred and fifty thousand dollar?, for the purpose of pay-
ing off the indebtedness of said county, and to levy and
collect the necessary taxes for the payment of the sum
borrowed and the interest thereon.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-

land, That the County Commissioners of Baltimore county be
and they are hereby authorized and empowered to borrow one
hundred and fifty thousand dollars, or so much thereof as may
be necessary to pay off the indebtedness of said county, at a
rate of interest not to exceed five per cent, per annum, and to
execute their notes or bonds as County Commissioners therefor.

Tax to pay
interest and
principal.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the County Com-
missioner shall, in each and every year, levy upon the assess-
able property in Baltimore county such sum of money as may
be necessary to pay the interest on the outstanding notes or
bonds, by them executed in pursuance of this act, as the same
shall fall due, and also such further and additional sums as
may be required to gradually pay off said notes or bonds, as
they may become due, and said taxes authorized by this act
shall be collected as other taxes are collected.

Effective.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.
