CHAPTER 34.
AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money to provide for
the completion of the indexing of certain volumes of the
proceedings of the Prerogative Court of the Province of
Maryland, administration accounts, inventories and distribu-
tion and balance books, and for the arrangement of the
original wills of the early settlers of Maryland, as directed
by 441 of the Acts of 1894.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That an additional sum of fifteen hundred ($1,500)

dollars, or so much thereof as may be found to be necessary,
be and the same is hereby appropriated, to complete the index-
ing of the 47 volumes of the proceedings of the Prerogative
Court of the Province of Maryland, 74 volumes of adminis-
trators' accounts, 126 volumes of the inventories, 6 volumes of
distribution or balance books; provided, that the cost of said
indexing shall be paid at the rate now fixed by law for indexing
the books of the office of the Register of Wills, and to pur-
chase patent file holders and jackets necessary for the proper
arrangement of said original wills and cost of arranging same
as provided in chapter 441 of the acts of 1894; and the
Comptroller of the Treasury of Maryland be and is hereby
authorized and directed to issue his warrant on the Treasurer
of Maryland, payable to the order of the Register of Wills of
Anne Arundel county, from time to time, as said work shall
have been done as provided in said act, and the said indexing
and arranging shall have progressed, for the amount necessary
to pay the costs thereof; provided, that the said Register of
Wills and Governor of Maryland shall, from time to time, file
with the Comptroller the itemized accounts for such purchas-
ing, indexing and arranging, duly certified by them to be
correct.
