with the said County Commissioners.

Powers,
duties, etc,

451 D. All the authority, rights, powers, duties and privileges
heretofore had, held, enjoyed and exercised by the collector of
State and county taxes for Frederick county under the provis-
ions of the Public General Laws of Maryland, shall hereafter
be had, held, enjoyed and exercised by the County Treasurer
for said county, and his manner of proceeding to collect and
enforce the payment of State and county taxes in said county,
shall be the same as prescribed in Article 81 of the Code of
Public General Laws of this State, title " Revenue and Taxes,"
with reference to collection of taxes.

Repeal.
|
SEC. 2. And be it hereby further enacted, That all laws in-
consistent with this act are hereby repealed so far as they apply
to Frederick county; but it is hereby declared that nothing
herein contained shall be taken in any way to change or inter-
fere with the provisions of the existing law relating to the col-
lection of State and county taxes for said county other than the
changes above set forth, or that may be necessarily implied
therefrom.

SEC. 3. And be it hereby further enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to incorporate the Town of Ridgely, Caroline
County, Maryland.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the inhabitants of the town of Ridgely in Caro-
line county, be and they are hereby created a body corporate,
by the name of the Commissioners of Ridgely, with all the
powers and privileges of a body politic and corporate, and by
said corporate name may have perpetual succession, and by
that name may sue and be sued, may purchase and hold real,
personal and mixed property, or dispose of the same for the
benefit of said town, and may have and use a common seal,
which may be altered at pleasure, and the said corporation
may organize, proceed and act through its commissioners to be
selected as hereinafter provided.
