CHAPTER 156.
AN ACT to enable the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore
to appropriate a sum or sums of money, annually, for the use
and benefit of the German Orphan Asylum of Baltimore
city, and to confirm an appropriation heretofore made.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the appropriation made by the Mayor and
City Council of Baltimore, by resolution passed June 6, 1895,
of one thousand ($1,000) dollars in favor of the General Ger-
man Orphans' Asylum of Baltimore city, be and the same is
hereby ratified and confirmed; and that the Mayor and City
Council of Baltimore, be and they are hereby authorized and
empowered hereafter to appropriate annually, and to give for
the use and benefit of the General German Orphans' Asylum
of Baltimore city, any sum or sums of money which they may
deem proper; provided, the sum shall not exceed two thous-
and and five hundred dollars per annum.

AN ACT to authorize the County Commissioners of Queen
Anne's County, to grant a pension to Samuel R. Story of
said county.

land, That the County Commissioners of Queen Anne's
county are hereby authorized and directed to grant an annual
pension, not exceeding seventy-five dollars, to Samuel R. Story
