LAWS OF MARYLAND.

New section.

SEC. 2. And te it further enacted, That the following sec-
tion be added to the said article, to be inserted after section
169, and to be known as section 169 A.

To apply to
cable roads

etc.

169 A. The three preceding sections shall apply to all roads
operated by electricity, eaable or other improved motor power,
and whether incorporated under the provisions of this article,
or by a special act, and whether the property proposed to be con-
demned is situated in one of the counties of this State, or in
the belt or annexed portions of Baltimore city, where streets
And alleys have not been opened and occupied as city streets.

Effective.

SEC. 8. And be it further enacted. That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

Approved April 2d, 1896.

CHAPTER 152.

AN ACT to amend the charter of the Evangelical Lutheran
Ladies Society of the Augsburg Home for Orphaus and
Aged of Baltimore City, recorded July 8, 1893, among the
Charter Records of Baltimore' city, in Liber J. B., No. 81,
folio 463, &c.

Change of

name.


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the name of the Evangelical Lutheran Ladies Society
of the Augsburg Home for Orphans and Aged of Baltimore
city, incorporated under the general incorporation laws of the
State of Maryland, be and the same is hereby changed to the
"Evangelical Lutheran Association of the Augsburg Home
for Orphans and Aged of Baltimore City."

Effective.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

Approved April 2, 1896.

CHAPTER 153.

AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money for rebuilding the
main building of Charlotte Hall Academy, in St. Mary's
