SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Chapter 294 of the Acts of the General Assembly
of Maryland of 1894, providing for the supervision of the
jail of Wicomico county, and regulating the labor of cer-
tain prisoners contained therein, be and the same is hereby
repealed.

Repeal.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

Approved March 27th, 1896.

CHAPTER 130.

AN ACT to incorporate Alletta Tribe, number one hundred
and nine, Improved Order of Red Men of Girdletree, Worces-
ter County, Maryland.

Effective.


WHEREAS, An association of citizens exists in the town of
Girdletree, Worcester county, Maryland, under the name, style
and title of Alletta Tribe, number one hundred and nine, of
the Improved Order of Red Men, attached to the Great Coun-
cil of Maryland; and,

Preamble.


WHEREAS, The said association has applied for an act of
incorporation, in order that thereby its existence may be ren-
dered .more secure and that it may be enabled to carry out
with greater efficiency the important objects for which it wae
formed; therefore,

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That William F. A. Townsend, Dr. Charles H. Bennum,
George L. Barnes, C. V. Rowley, Charles S. Richardson, George
L. Tarr, James Redden, James S. Scarborough, Lem'l W. Onley,
Charles E. Onley, James Riley, J. Wm. Selby, Clayton T.
Richardson, and such other persons as are now members of
said lodge, and their successors, be and they are hereby created
a corporation, by the name, style and title of Alletta Tribe,
number one hundred and nine, Improved Order of Red Men
of Girdletree, Maryland, and by that name shall hare perpet-
ual succession, may sue and be sued, answer and defend in any
court of law or equity, and may adopt a constitution, ordain
and establish such by-laws, rules and regulations as may appear
necessary and proper for conducting the concerns of said cor-
poration, as shall not be contrary to the laws of this State,
