and shall obtain the consent of said County Commissioners
thereto.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 126.

AN ACT to authorize and direct the County Commissioners
of Baltimore County to levy a sum of money for the build-
ing of a public school house in St. Denis, in the thirteenth
district of Baltimore County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Board of County Commissioners of Baltimore
county are hereby authorized and directed to levy on the assess-
able property of said county, at the next annual levy after the
passage of this act, the sum of twelve hundred dollars, for the
purpose of building a school house in St. Denis, in the 13th
election district of said county; and the said sum, or so much
thereof as may be necessary, shall then be applied by, and for
that purpose paid to the board of school commissioners of said
county, for the erection of a public school house at the before
named location; .the said building to cost not exceeding fiiteen
hundred dollars.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHATTER 127.

AN ACT to appropriate a certain sum of money to the
Maryland House of Correction.


Appro pria-
tion.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Comptroller of the Treasury, be and he is
hereby authorized and directed to draw his warrant upon the
Treasurer in favor of the Maryland House of Correction, for
the sum of five thousand dollars, to meet the deficiency in
the current expense of said institution for the present fiscal
year.
