LLOYD LOWNDES, ESQUIRE, GOVERNOR.

CHAPTER 116.

AN ACT to authorize the judges of the Circuit Court for
Baltimore County to purchase law books for the use of said
Court, and empowering the County Commissioners of Balti-
more County to pay for the same.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
lend, That the judges of the Circuit Court for Baltimore
county be and they are hereby authorized and empowered to
purchase such law books as in their discretion they may deem
necessary for the furtherance of the business of the Circuit
Court for Baltimore county; provided, that the annual cost of
said books shall not exceed the sum of two hundred and fifty
dollars.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That thf County Commissioners
of Baltimore county be and they are hereby authorized and
empowered to levy annually upon the assessable property of
aaia county the sum of two hundred and fifty dollars, or so
much thereof as may be necessary, to pay for the said books.

Payment for
same.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

Approved March 27th, 1896.

Effective.

CHAPTER 117.

AN ACT to authorize and empower the Governor to appoint
three additional Justices of the Peace, one in each of the
first, second and third election districts of Baltimore City.


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Governor be and he is hereby authorized and
empowered to appoint three additional justices of the peace,
one in each of the first, second and third election districts of
Baltimore city, in addition to those now required to be ap-
pointed by existing laws.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

Approved March 27th, 1896.
