CHAPTER 195.
A further supplement to the act, entitled, an act to lay out and
open a road from the town of Westminster, in Frederick
County, to the City of Washington and Georgetown.

Preamble
|
WHEREAS, it is represented to this General Assembly, by
the petition of sundry citizens of Baltimore county, that it is
desirable to have a commissioner appointed for Baltimore
county to fill the vacancy occasioned by the death of Robert
T. Mercer, late one of the commissioners for Baltimore coun-
ty to lay out and open a road from the town of Westminster,
in Frederick county, to the City of Washington and George-
town; Therefore,

sioners
|
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland^ That
Nicholas Dorsey be, and he is hereby appointed an assistant
commissioner for Baltimore county, to lay out and open the
said road so far as relates to Baltimore county, and the said
Nicholas Dorsey is hereby invested with the same powers and
authority as if he had been appointed a commissioner under
the provisions of the act to which this is a further supple-
ment.

A supplement to the act, entitled, an act respecting the equity
jurisdiction of the Comity Courts in the sixth Judicial Dis-
trict, passed at December session, eighteen hundred and
twenty four, chapter one hundred und ninety six.

Acts repealed
|
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
from and after the passage of this act, the act entitled, an act
respecting the equity jurisdiction of the County Courts in the
sixth judicial district, passed at December session, eighteen
hundred and twenty four, chapter one hundred and ninety six,
to which this is a supplement, be and the same is hereby re-
pealed, so far as it relates to the removal of equity causes or
suits from Harford county court.

An act to incorporate the Allegany Iron Company.
|
Preamble.
|
WHEREAS, it is represented to this General Assembly, by
Henry P. Van Bibber, William D. McKim, Columbus O'Bon-
nell, John McHenry, John Hoye and Upton Bruce, that they
are the proprietors of certain tracts and parts of tracts of land
situated on and contiguous to Baer Creek, in Allegany coun-
ty; that on the said lands they have extensive water power,
capable of being advantageously used for various manufactur-
ing purposes, that they have already erected thereon suitable
