CHAPTER 17.

 

A supplement to the act, entitled, An act relative to Justtces oj
the Peace and for other purposes, passed at December session
eighteen hundred and fifteen, chapter eighty-two.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That nothing contained in the original act to which this
is a supplement, shall be taken or construed as to authorise the
clerk of any County court in this state, to charge for the filing
or recording of any magistrates docket, or other papers that
may be deposited with him as directed in first section of the
original act to which this a supplement.

SEC, 2. And be it enacted, That nothing contained in this
act shall be so taken or construrd as to prevent the rlerk of
any county court from charging his fees for any transcript that
he may be called on for.

CHAPTER 18.

 

An act to confirm the Proceeding's of the Justices of the Levy
Court of Somerset county.

Passed January 25

1826.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the proceedings of the levy court of Somerset county, so far
as they relate to the allowance often per centum commission
for the collection of the public levy in the year eighteen hun-
dred and twenty-seven, be, and the same are hereby confirm-
ed and made valid, any law to the contrary notwithstanding..

CHAPTER 19.

An act to alter the present mode of appointing the Justices of
the Levy Court of Anne Arundel county, so that each elec-
tion district and the city of Annapolis may have one mem-
ber.

Passed January 25,
1828,

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the levy court of Anne Arundel county, shall hereafter con-
sist of seven justices, one of whom shall be resident in each
of the election districts of said county, and one a resident of
the city of Annapolis, at the time of appointment.
