History Department, Goucher College, Dr. William H. Wroten, Pro-
fessor of History, Salisbury State College, Dr. Benjamin Quarles, Pro-
fessor of History, Morgan State College, and as immediate supervisor
of the project, Dr. William Calderhead, Professor of History, U. S.
Naval Academy.
On October 6-8, Mr. Skordas represented the Hall of Records at
the Extraordinary Congress of the International Council on Archives
held in Washington. The Congress sponsored by the National Archives
and the State Department, was attended by delegates and observers
representing fifty-two countries, Vatican City, the United Nations and
Puerto Rico. The theme of the meeting was "Archives for Scholarship:
Encouraging Greater Ease of Access."
The Archivist completed his term as a member of the Advisory
Board of the American Archivist, Mr. Skordas served his last year on
the Council of the Society and Mr. Beach served again as a member
of the Records Management Committee.
Mr. Beach and Mr. Brown attended the annual convention of the
National Microfilm Association in Washington May 17-19, 1966.
Dr. Radoff, Mr. Skordas, Mr. Straubinger and Mr. White also visited
the elaborate demonstrations of microfilm and other modern record-
keeping machinery.
Mr. Beach and Mr. Straubinger attended the annual meeting of
the Registers of Wills Association at Ocean City July 8-10, 1965. Mr.
Beach attended meetings of the executive committee and the legislative
committee of the Court Clerks Association January 26, May 17, 1966
and the Annual meeting of the Association in Ocean City August
12-11, 1965.
There were two meetings of the County Commissioners' Asso-
ciation within the span of one fiscal year: the 1965 meeting was held
in Ocean City August 26-28 of that year and the 1966 meeting was
held at the same place on June 21-23. The 1965 meeting was attended
by Mr. Straubinger and Mr. Brown, and the 1966 meeting, by Mr.
Beach and Mr. Brown.
Mr. White represented the Hall of Records on the State Coordinat-
ing Curriculum Committee of the Department of Education and as
such he attended their annual meeting in Baltimore, December 13, 1965.
Mr. Kilbourne attended five meetings of the Reprint Committee
of Reference Services Division, Maryland Library Association, which
