TWENTY-SEVENTH ANNUAL REPORT OF THE ARCHIVIST FOR FISCAL YEAR
JULY 1,1961 THROUGH JUNE 30,1962

In addition to a full report on the normal activities of the Hall of
Records, the Letter of Transmittal summarized our efforts to have
certain records returned to us. Special emphasis was put on the Mary-
land governmental records now in the Library of Congress.

MARYLAND MANUAL, 1961-1962: SUPPLEMENT 1963

The MARYLAND MANUAL normally appears every two years for the
even-year meetings of the Legislature. In 1963 because of reapportion-
ment of the General Assembly and the heavy turnover of officers at
the General Election of November 1962, we felt it wise to issue a
Supplement whose contents were restricted to the three branches of
the State government. There had never been a supplement of this kind
before and we hope there will never be the need of another.

BULLETIN No. 12 INDEX HOLDINGS MAY 1963

This is a list of index holdings at the Hall of Records. It is revised
from time to time; the previous list was issued in September 1959. The
records to which there are indexes are also listed and there is an ex-
planation of the records and the offices which created them. Mimeo-
graphed.

At the end of the fiscal year copy for this volume had been sent
to the printer and it was scheduled to be off the press by Christmas,
1963.

PROCEEDINGS OF THE COURT OF PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY LIBER A,
1696-1699

The copy for this book has also been sent to the printer and allow-
ing for time to read proof and to prepare the necessary indexes it is
hoped that it will appear in April or May 1964.
