ARCHIVIST OF THE HALL OF RECORDS 25

The Annapolis Roundtable Conference on Historic Preservation in
Modern City Planning, sponsored by Historic Annapolis, Inc., The
Washington Center for Metropolitan Studies and The National Trust
for Historic Preservation, was held June 24-25, 1960, in Annapolis.
The sessions were attended by the Archivist, the Assistant Archivist,
Mr. Weatherly, Mrs. Clark and Mrs. Jacobsen.

RELATED ORGANIZATIONS

On November 18, 1959, Mr. White attended a meeting at the
Enoch Pratt Free Library of a special State Documents Committee,
appointed by the Maryland Library Association to study problems and
procedures of distribution.

MISCELLANEOUS

Mr. Saunders attended a special presentation in Washington of
business machines and records systems by the Office Equipment Manu-
facturers Institute, September 25, 1959.

TEACHING AND LEARNING

In fiscal year 1960, the Archivist lectured to three classes of The
American University. Twenty-two class members of the Ninth Annual
Institute of Genealogical Research spent July 22, 1959, at the Hall
of Records.

The winter class in Preservation and Administration of Archives
came to the Hall of Records on May 31, 1960, for instruction on the
operation of state archives.

On June 17, 1960, the following students of the Fourteenth
Annual Institute in Preservation and Administration of Archives at-
tended classes at the Hall of Records: E. J. Alagoa, Archivist of
Nigeria; Yahya A. Al-Bahri, Assistant to the Finance Administrator of
Iraq; Helen P. Alleman, Librarian, Washington, New Jersey; Adaline
R. Beeson, Records Analyst, Board of Governors of The Federal Re-
serve System; John C. Boles, Records Officer, Detroit Arsenal, U. S.
Army Ordnance Corps; Vincent J. Bosak, Records Analyst in the Fed-
eral Government; Clyde M. Collier, Supervising Archivist, National
Weather Records Center, Asheville; Frank B. E vans, Archivist II, Com-
monwealth of Pennsylvania; Carmita A. Gallegos, National Planning
Board, Ecuador; Bruce C. Harding, Archivist, Ohio Historical Society;
