31. The clerks to whom such dockets and papers are de-
livered shall keep the same as other records and shall deliver
transcripts from the dockets or papers so returned to any per-
son applying for the same, except that papers which have been
in the custody of the Clerks Jor a period of three years or longer
may be destroyed DISPOSED OF In accordance with the pro-
visions of Sections 177, 178 and 180 of Article 41 of this Code,
title "Governor-Executive and Administrative Departments",
and the clerks shall be relieved of the responsibility of delivering
transcripts of such papers ajter they have been destroyed DIS-
POSED OF as authorized above. The dockets of justices of the
peace shall be retained permanently.
114. The dockets of said magistrates, which they shall have
with them at all of their sessions, shall conform as nearly as
practicable to those used for civil and criminal cases in the
circuit courts of the State, except that in cases under the
motor vehicles law they shall be dockets and report forms
furnished them by the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles.
All dockets and papers of trial magistrates shall be delivered by
them to the clerks of courts as provided for in Sections 29 and 30
of this Article and shall be retained and disposed of by the said
clerks according to the provisions of Section 51 of this Article.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1959.

CHAPTER 9
(Senate Bill 3)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
67 of Article 21 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957
Edition), title "Conveyancing," sub-title "Conditional
Contracts of Sale," relating to the effective date of record-
ing conditional sale contracts and authorizing their destruc-
tion and relating generally to conditional sale contracts in
this State.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 67 of Article 21 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Conveyancing/' sub-title
"Conditional Contracts of Sale/' be and it is herebv repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
67.(a). Any recording pursuant to Section 66 of this
article shall be effective only for a period of [three (3] four (4)
years from the date of recording. Thereafter, except as be-
tween the parties, the recorded obligation, unless re-recorded,
