LIBRARY

Growth of our library continued at the same deliberate pace as hereto-
fore. There were no striking accessions; but on the other hand, there were
many useful works and ours is strictly a library for the use of the staff and
for searchers who are here to consult original records. We were glad to ac-
cept two good runs of the Sun Almanac, some missing issues of the Mary-
land Almanac and copies of the genealogical notes of William N. Wilkins.

For the most part, the titles of our staff members explain their work.
None of these titles would, however, indicate the individual responsible for
the accessioning, listing and circulating of our printed books. This duty falls
to the Junior Archivist in the Research Room, a position held during the
past fiscal year by Miss Edna E. Jensen, a new employee. She has with ad-
mirable economy managed the library at the cost of little interference with
her other duties.
