appear biennially as in the past or whether it should become an annual
publication.

Because it was the last regular meeting of the General Assembly which
was elected in 1946, the Hall of Records cooperated in the production of a
little souvenir pamphlet which contained the pictures of the members and
which was distributed to them before adjournment. The plates for this
pamphlet were those which had already been prepared for the "Manual and
since the number of copies was limited to 300 the total additional cost to
us was only twenty-five dollars.

PUBLIC DOCUMENTS PROJECT

Our effort to collect a set of the public documents of Maryland con'
tinued throughout the year. We have perhaps reached the point where
some statistical statement of progress is in order, although statistics of this
kind must be approached with more caution than is normally exercised
in such matters because it is, in reality, no longer possible to establish the
number of agencies which have issued reports in the past or the total num-
ber of reports issued by ail agencies.

A study of all agencies issuing reports at any given time has revealed
that a total of 120 agencies and their subdivisions have issued reports. Of
these agencies nine have evidently made reports only in manuscript or
typescript form to the Governor or other officers.
