in case of loss by use of the microfilms or the abstracts, some attention
should now be given to providing insurance copies of the probate records
which for the most part exist now in unique copies in the vaults of the
several Orphans' Courts. The Commission authorized the Archivist to
urge the filming of at least the Wills if the counties were willing to defray
the cost of such a project.

The Chairman proposed that the Hall of Records publish in the next
fiscal year part of the record of the Chancery Court now in the custody
of the office of the Land Commissioner. This proposal was approved and
the Chairman was asked to request the cooperation of the Land Office.
