NOTE: This budget for the fiscal year 1948 does not correspond with
the one which appeals in the Fiscal Digest of the Comptroller of the Treas-
ury because it includes the salary adjustments of June 1947, which were
made too late to be printed in the Digest.
PUBLIC AND PROFESSIONAL RELATIONS
The Hall of Records was honored this year to show its plant
and demonstrate its work to a distinguished group of foreign
visitors. There were two visitors from Venezuela, Dr. Ambrosio
Perera, Director of the Archives, and his Assistant, Dr. Leopoldo
Briceno Torres, both on July 25. With them came Dr, Carlos
Quesada Zapiola, who is engaged in record preservation at
Buenos Aires, Argentina. The Superintendent of the National
Archives of Cuba, Dr. Mario Lopez Feliu, visited the Hall of
Records on September 4 of the same year. There were two visi.
