duced somewhat during the fiscal year 1947.

Fiscal Year 1948

Because of the confused budgetary picture for the fiscal
year 1947, due to the general increases in salaries of September
1946, the special increases and the reclassifications of June 1947,
and the carrying of funds frozen for the use of the Superinten-
dent of Public Buildings and Grounds during 1946 and 1947, it
has been thought advisable to give you the budget of the fiscal
year beginning July 1, 1947.
