lected by the late George Forbes were presented to the Hall of
Records by Mrs. Forbes. There was received also a very curious
collection of letters written to an Irish newspaper by an Irish
Revolutionary from Washington during the Civil War years.
Purchases included a collection of 61 maps of Maryland and the
Chesapeake Bay Country. It is our hope that this purchase will
form a nucleus for a useful map collection heretofore lacking at
the Hall of Records. The following materials were received
