DESTRUCTION OF RECORDS

Several State and local agencies took advantage of the procedure
established by Chapter 825 of the Acts of 1941 for the destruction of
useless records.

The Court of Common Pleas of Baltimore was granted per-
mission to destroy the following records:

Traders' Licenses (quadruplicate copies), prior to 1941, 82

cubic feet.

Applications for Traders' Licenses, prior to 1938, 4 cubic feet,

Cancelled Liquor Licenses and Liquor License Grants, prior
to 1938, 12 cubic feet.

Hunting and Fishing License Applications and Stubs, prior to
to 1938. 4 cubic feet.

Correspondence Regarding Marriage Licenses, prior to 1938,
28 cubic feet.

August 18, 1943.

The Bureau of Vital Statistics was granted permission to destroy
12 volumes containing burial permits, transit permits and death certifi-
cates dating from 1877 to 1900. These records were improperly
executed on Baltimore City forms rather than State forms. All of the
information they contain may be found in the regular files of the Bureau.

October 15, 1943.

The Unemployment Compensation Board was granted permission
to destroy the following materials:

Employment Reports, 1938, 1150 boxes (15" x 24" x 10").
Cancelled Checks, 1938, 500 boxes (13"x 24"x 10').
Original Claims, 1938, 55 boxes (13" x 24" x 10"),
Payrolls, 1938, 25 boxes (13" x 24" x 10").
Miscellaneous, 1938, 20 boxes (13"x 24"x 10")
Wage Record Cards, 1938, 1375 boxes (8"x 14" x 3 1/2"),
December 7, 1943.
