FINANCIAL STATEMENT

Of an extraordinary sum of $15,000 granted to the Hall of Rec-
ords Commission from the General Bond Issue of 1939 only $43,80
remained unspent at the end of the last fiscal year. An Eastman No. 20
Paper Cutter costing $27.50 was purchased for the photocopy depart-
ment, leaving a balance of $16.30 which was reverted to the State
Treasurer.

For the fiscal year October 1, 1940 to September 30, 1941 an
appropriation was made for the publication of a catalogue of the
archival materials at the Hall of Records. Through the cooperation of
the fiscal officers of the State, this fund was carried over into the next
fiscal year. The total amount carried over was $740.37 of which $414.00
was spent, the balance reverting to the Treasurer.

General appropriations for the fiscal year October 1, 1941 to
September 30, 1942 were $34,355.00. In addition, there were certain
credits amounting to $116.00 to make a total of $34,471.00. Of this
sum $27,876.60 was expended; $4,299.01 reverted to the Treasurer; and
$2,295.39 was held over.
