President of the Maryland Historical Society:

HONORABLE GEORGE L. RADCLIFFE ............ Baltimore

President of the Board of the Peabody Institute:

DR. J. HALL PLEASANTS....................... Baltimore

President of the Johns Hopkins University:

DR. ISAIAH BOWMAN.......................... Baltimore

STAFF

At a meeting of the Hall of Records Commission held May 24,
1935 Dr. James A. Robertson was appointed Archivist, his duties to
begin on October 1 following. Immediately after that date Dr. Rob-
ertson chose the following members of his staff:

Miss ELIZABETH W. MEADE ..............Archival Assistant

Miss JOAN KNIGHT .............................. Secretary

Miss KATHARINE H. HELD ........General Archival Assistant

MR. ALLISON C. TRADER............. Manuscript Repairer and

Photostat Operator

According to the minutes of the Commission, Miss Meade, Miss
Held and Mr. Trader were confirmed at their meeting of Oc-
tober 3. In his First Annual Report Dr. Robertson notes that Miss
Knight assumed her duties on October 14, the others on October 15.

As more funds became available, additional appointments were
made during the first year as follows:
