there for a short time, for Andrew Marschalk made such

a statement in a letter written in 1837, referring to
a Mr. Green from Baltimore. Correspondence with the
Chancery Clerk of Adams County, Mississippi, however,
has failed to reveal any information about this Henry
Green; and Wheeler's statement that

there is not enough evidence as yet to justify
the belief that the pioneer printer at Fatchez
was the Henry Green of Annapolis53

seems to be all there is available on the subject. His
short venture in Baltimore in 1798, and the extremely
problematical one. in Natchez in 1800, appear to be the
only attempts made by this son of a prominent printer
to set up his own establishment.

Hanna printed at least one book alone, Rev, John
Thayer's Discourse, Delivered at the Roman Catholic
Church in Boston, on the 9th of May. 1798.54 Before
the end of the year, he formed a partnership with
William Warner, and this firm of Warner and Hanna con-
tinued in the Baltimore publishing field for a number
of years.
