Folio. Double columns, printed on both sides.
Leal measures: 12 3/4 x 7 3/4 inches.
A defense of John Morgan, former Director-General of the Hospitals and Physician in Chief to the American Army,
who was dismissed from his position without trial by Congress on the charge that the sick suffered from neglect and mis-
management on his part during the campaign of 1776. He warns the public against "this many-headed monster of slander
and licentiousness, ever glutting, never satiated, that trampling down all before it, seizes and mangles the characters of
such distinguished persons as present, and like a giant refreshed with wine, rises with new vigour from its sordid repast"
and invites all who have anything to present against his conduct to appear before the Congressional investigating committee
with their evidence.
