This was the first General Assembly of Maryland and it was convened by the Council of Safety on February s, 1777-
The last session of the Provincial Assembly was held on April 19, 1774 and was finally dissolved on June 13, 1776 by Gov-
ernor Eden who left the colony shortly afterward. The Votes and Proceedings of the Senate for this session were advertised
as printed in the Maryland Gazette of August 7, 1777. but not those of the House of Delegates.
