The Baltimore assembly was held every other Thursday evening beginning November 12 at Mr. Starck's. The company
assembled at six and the dancing began at seven thirty after the ladies had drawn lots for their places and lasted until
one o'clock in the morning. Gentlemen under twenty one years and ladies under fifteen could not be admitted, nor were
gentlemen wearing boots allowed to enter the hall. The managers who were elected by ballot took charge of the dance and
arranged for the music, subject to the approval of a majority of the subscribers. Every member of the assembly paid a
