10, And be it enacted, That it shall be the duty of the ma-
nagers or directors to cause the dirt coming out of said ditch cr
drain to be thrown, as nearly equal as practicable, on both sides
of said ditch or drain.

11. And be it enacted, That any person or persons who
may consider him, her or themselves, injured or aggrieved by
the cutting, opening and making snid ditch or drain, shall have
a right to seek, and if awarded to them, recover damages of the
said managers or directors, all which damages shall be ascer-
tained and determined in the same manner as is pointed out in
the sixth Section of this act fer ascertaining and apportioning the
expenses, costs and charges, of cutting and opening said ditch
or drain, in cases of disagreement between the proprietor or
proprietors, and the managers or directors.

12. And be it enacled, That all damages, costs or charges,
legally recovered under this act against the said managers or di-
rectors in tho execution of the duties of them required, shall
be apportioned among the proprietor or proprietors in the same
manner as is herein before directed for ascertaining and appor-
tioning the costs, charges and expenses, of cutting and opening
said ditch or drain, in the first instance.

13. And be it enacted, That the managers or directors to be
appointed by virtue of, this act, or any three of them, shall
have power, and they are hereby authorised, to regulate and
establish, the rale of compensation which tho managers or direc-
tors, or other agents, in the execution of the contemplated
work, shall be entitled to receive for the services rendered un-
der this act.

CHAP. CXV.
An Act fop the relief of Henrietta S. Love, of the City of Baltimore.
1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That from and after the passage of this act, the marriage con-
tract between William S. Love, and Henrietta S. Love, is here-
by declared to be annulled and destroyed, and the authority
power and control, of the said William S. Love, over and to
the person and property of Henrietta S. Love his wife, shall
henceforth cease and determine, and all the rights which the
said William S. Love acquired by the said marriage contract,
and all liabilities for the debts of his said wife arising from the
said marriage, shall henceforth utterly cease and determine
and the said Henrietta S. Love is hereby declared to be divorc-
ed from her husband William S. Love, as entirety, and to as
full extent, as if the said William S. Love were dead, or as if
she the said Henrietta S. Love had never been joined in ma
trimony with him.

2. And be it enacted, That the said Henrietta S. Love shall
be and she is hereby declared capable to have, hold, take, re-
ceive, sue for and recover, by compromise, suit or suits in law
or equity, property of any kind, whether real, personal or
mixed, in as full and ample a manner as if she were, and had
always been, a feme sole, and to hold, use and enjoy the same
for her own use and benefit, and the same to dispose of accord
ing to her will and pleasure, without the let, hindrance, me-
