CHAP. LXXXIX.
An Act for the relief of Priscilla North, of Somerset County.

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Priscilla North, of Somerset county, be and she is hereby
divorced from bed, board and mutual cohabitation, with her
husband, Edward North

2. And be it enacted, That all the right and title which the
said Edward North, by virtue of his marriage with the said
Priscilia North, may have become entitled to in any way or
manner whatever, be, and the same is hereby annulled and made
void; and that the said Priscilla North, be and she is hereby de-
clared capable to have, hold, take, receive, sue for and recover,
by compromise, suit or suits in law or equity, all such property,
in as full and ample a manner as if she were a feme sole, and
had never been married, and to hold, use and enjoy the same,
for her own use and benefit; and the same to dispose of accord-
ing to her will and pleasure; without the molestation, interfer-
ence, hindrance or consent, of her said husband, or of any per-
son or persons claiming by, from or under her said husband, in
the same manner she could or might have done were she a feme
sole.

3. And be it enacted, That the said Edward North shall
not be liable for any debts to be hereafter contracted by the
said Priscilla North; Provided, nothing herein contained shall
affect the rights of creditors acquired prior to the passage of
this act

CHAP. XC.
An Act to divorce Lucinda D. Lusby, and her husband Thomas R. Lusby,
of the City "of Baltimore.

Passed Feb 15, 1827

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the said Lucinda D. Lusby be and she is hereby divorced
from bed, board and mutual cohabitation, with her husband Tho-
mas R. Lusby.

2. And be it enacted, That the said Thomas R. Lusby shall
not, by virtue of his marriage with the said Lucinda D. Lusby
be authorised to have or claim any right or interest in the estate,
real, personal or mixed, of the said Lucinda D. Lusby, to be by
her acquired after the passage of this act; nor shall Lucinda D.
Lusby be authorised to have or claim any right or interest in the
estate, real, personal or mixed, of the said Thomas R. Lusby, to
be by him acquired after the passage of this act.

3. And be it enacted. That the said Lucinda D. Lusby shall
have and exercise all the rights, privileges and immunities, and
be subject to all the legal responsibilities, of a feme sole, in the
same manner she would have been if she had never been mar-

be, and she is hereby declared to be, entitled to the custody and
guardianship of her children by her present marriage, during
their minority.
