CHAP. 67.

Tickets in any
lottery not autho-
rised by the state,
prohibited to be
sold

of, one half to the use of the person prosecuting for the same,
and the other half to the use of this state.
6. And be it enacted, That no person or persons shall, with-
in the limits of this state, sell, or offer for sale, any ticket or
tickets, or part or parts or share of any ticket or tickets, in any
public or private lottery or lotteries, not authorised by the laws
of this state.

7. And be it further enacted, That all such part or parts of
any act or acts as shall be inconsistent with any of the provi-
sions of this act, be and the same are hereby repealed; Pro-
vided, that such repeal shall not affect any legal rights, in rela-
tion to lotteries authorised by this state, acquired by those who
have obtained licenses under the said act hereby repealed, nor
affect any prosecution Commenced, or which may be commenc-
ed, for any violation of the laws relating to lotteries, authorised

8. And be it enacted, That it shall be the duty of the seve-
ral county courts, and of the city court of Baltimore, to give
this act in charge to their respective grand juries.

9. And be it enacted, That nothing in this act contained,
shall be construed to authorise any person or persons, obtaining
a license under this act, to open, establish or set up, more than
one office under every such license.

CHAP. LXVIII.
An Act to confirm an 'act, entitled, An act to amend the Constitution and
Form of Government, as it relates to the division of Somerset County into
Election Districts.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That an act passed at December session eighteen hundred and
twenty-five, entitled, An act to amend the constitution and
form of government, as it relates to the division of Somerset
county into election districts, be and the same is hereby con-
firmed.

Passed Feb. 10, 1827

CHAP. LXIX.
An Act for the relief of Christopher Wilson, of Harford County.

Levy authorised
to compensate him
for services ren-
dered

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the levy court of Harford county be and they hereby are
empowered and directed, to assess and levy on the assessable
property of the said county, and to pay over to Christopher
Wilson, of said county, or his order, the sum of thirty-two
dollars, as compensation to him for his services during the years
eighteen hundred and twenty-three and eighteen hundred and
twenty-four, as supervisor of the fish pots in the river Susque-
hanna, under the act for the preservation of the breed of fish, .
and the supplements thereto; and the further sum of twenty-two
dollars and fifty cents, the amount of monies actually laid out
and expended by him, during the said years, in carrying the
provisions of the said acts into effect.
