CHAP. LXIII.
An Act for the relief of Lucretia M. Watkins, of Anne-Arundel County.
1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland
That the authority, power and control, of Richard G. Watkins,
mrer and to the person and property of Lueretia M. Watkins,
his wife, shall henceforth cease and determine; avid the said
Richard G. Watkins shall not be liable for any debts hereafter
contracted by the said Lucretia M. Watkins, and the said Lu-
cretia M. Watkins is hereby deprived of all claim in or to the
property of the said Richard G. Watkins, to be acquired by
him after the passage of this act.

2. And be it enacted. That the said Lucretia M. Watkins,
by the name of Lucretia M. Harwood, be and she is hereby
declared capable to have, hold, take, receive, sue for and recover,
by compromise, suit or suits at law, or in equity, property of
any kind whether real, personal or mixed, in as full and ample
a manner as if she were a feme sole, and to hold, use and enjoy
the same, for her own use and benefit, and the same to dispose oi
according to her will and pleasure, without the let, hindrance,
molestation, interference or consent, of her husband, in as full
and ample a manner as if she were a feme sole, and may by
the said name, sue and be sued at law or in equity, in the same
manner as if she were a feme sole.

CHAP. LXIV.
A Supplement to an Act passed at .December session eighteen hundred and
twenty-three, entitled, An act to repeal an act passed at November ses-
sion, eighteen hundred and twelve.

WHEREAS it has been represented to this general assembly,
that the provisions of the act to which this is a supplement,
have not been carried into effect, because of the refusal of the
commissioners therein named, and thereby appointed to act:
And whereas it is important to the public convenience that the
provisions of said act should be carried into effect; Therefore,

That Walter Bowie, William A. Hall, William B. Mullikin,
Benjamin Ogle, Senior, and John B. Mullikin, or a majority of
them, be and they are here by appointed commissioners to carry
into effect the provisions of the act to which this is a supple-
ment, in the manner prescribed by said act to which this is a
supplement

CHAP. LXV.
An Act for building a new Prison in Calvert County, and for other purposes.
WHEREAS it is represented to this general assembly, that
there is no prison in Calvert county for the reception of debt-
ors and felons, which is very injurious to the peace and security
of the said county; Therefore,

C. Gantt and John T. Bond, Esquires, or a majority of them,
