CHAP. CCLIX.
A Supplement to the act, entitled, An act to incorporate the Maryland
Hospital.

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the governor and council be and they are hereby autho-
rised and empowered, upon the conveyance by the mayor and
city council of Baltimore of all the right, title, interest in, and
claim of, the city of Baltimore, in and to the hopital, and the
lot of ground upon which the same is erected, to the president
and visitors of the Maryland Hospital, as incorporated by the
act to which this is a supplement, and the delivery of the pos-
session thereof to the said president and visitors, to guarantee
to the said mayor and city council the amount of any sum or
sums of money expended by them out of the funds of said city,
in the purchase of the ground, and the erection of the hospital,
and other buildings thereon, not exceeding five thousand dol-
lars, the same to be appropriated to the erection of a house or
establishment for the reception and care of persons affected
with any contagious or infectious disease, as provided ia the
