1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the levy courts of Kent, Anne-Arundel, Prince-George's,
Queen-Anne's, Worcester, Harford, Caroline and Montgomery
counties, be and they are hereby severally authorised, directed
and empowered, at their annual meeting, so long as they shall
see cause so to do, to assess and levy on the assessable property
of said counties, for the use of the several persons hereinafter
mentioned, any sum of money, not exceeding the several sums
annexed to their respective names, viz In Kent county, for
the widow of Thomas Salway thirty dollars, for Nathaniel
Redding, in addition to the sum now allowed him, ten dollars,
for Milcah Hatcheson thirty dollars, for Mary Ann Brown
thirty dollars, for the orphan child of William Hart twenty-
five dollars, for Sarah Taylor thirty dollars, for Elizabeth Davis
thirty dollars, for Rebecca Davis thirty dollars. In Anne-Arun-
del county, for Moses Deaver twenty dollars, for William Hood
twenty dollars, for Edward Stewart twenty dollars, for Eliza-
beth Watson thirty dollars, for Mary Aiwell twenty dollars,
for Elizabeth Menikin twenty dollars, for Ellen Buraett twen-
ty dollars, for Caleb Stewart forty dollars, for Ann Merrikin
twenty-five dollars, for Rachel Fennell fifteen dollars, for
Lewis Western twenty dollars, for Mary Johnson thirty dollars,
for Joshua Stockett, free negro, ten dollars, for Elizabeth Dadds
fifteen dollars, for Jane Gaither fifteen dollars, for Thomas Cadle
twenty; dollars, for John Abrams thirty dollars, for Rachel John-
son fifteen dollars, for Margaret Jacob fifteen dollars, for Sarah
Bush fifteen dollars, for Sarah Tydings fifteen dollars, payable to
Ellen Griffith. In the city of Annapolis, for Elizabeth Lusby fif-
