1826.

2, And be it enacted, That the said Robert Bash shall not,
by virtue of his marriage with the said Aim Maria Bush, be au-
thorised to have or claim any right or interest in the estate,
real, personal or mixed, of the said Ann Maria Bush, to be by
her acquired after the passage of this act, nor shall Ann Maria
Bush be authorised to have or claim any right or interest in the
estate, real, person al or mixed, of the said Robert Bush, to be
by him acquired after the passage of this aet.

3, And be it enacted, That the said Ann Maria Bush shall
have and exercise all the rights, privileges and immunities, and
be subject to all the legal responsibilities of a feme sole, in the
same manner she would have been if she had never been
married.

4. And be it enacted, That the aforesaid Ann Maria Bush
be, and she is hereby, declared to be, entitled to the custody and
guardianship of her child by her present marriage, during its

CHAP. CCXXXIX.
An Act to provide for altering the grade of Fayette-Street, in the City of
Baltimore, between Paca and Cove-Streets.

WHEREAS a number of the owners and proprietors of lands
situate and lying in the city of Baltimore, by their petition to
this general assembly have set forth, that much inconvenience
is experienced from the former grading of Fayetle-street, be-
tween Paca and Cove-streets, as heretofore established by the
city commissi9ners of said city, and that the grade thereof can-
not be altered where a single individual, out of many interest-

ed, may be found dissenting therefrom ; Therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the city commissioners of the city of Baltimore, together
with Ceorgfe Millemon and Robert Gary Long, citizens of Bal-
timore, be and they are hereby constituted a board of commissi-
oners, and authorised and empowered so to alter the grade of
Fayette-street, between Paca and Cove-streets, in said city, as
in their judgments they shall determine to be most conducive to
the public convenience and benefit, and in case of death, resig-
nation, or refusal to act, or any other inability of either of the per-
sons herein named and appointed to aet in conjunction with the ci-
ty commissioners aforesaid, or of any person or persons appoint-
ed to act in the stead of them, or either of them, the said board
may supply such vacancy by election, and a majority of the said
board of commissioners shall be competent to perform all the du-
ties of the said board.

2. And be it enacted. That upon application to the said board
of commissioners, from the proprietors of a majority of the
feet of ground fronting oa Fayette-street, between Paca and
Cove-streets as aforesaid, at any time before the first day of

of commissioners, or a majority of them, may proceed to de-
termine on the same, after giving at least tea days notice in two
