AN ACT concerning
Militia - Maryland Defense Force
FOR the purpose of renaming the Maryland State Guard to be the Maryland Defense
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Section 5, 8, 18, and 25; and 62, 64, 73, 74, and 76 to be under the amended
Annotated Code of Maryland
(1988 Replacement Volume and 1989 Supplement)
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
Article 65 - Militia
The militia of this State shall be divided into two classes: The organized militia
The unorganized militia shall consist of all those liable to serve but not regularly
The Governor shall have the power in times of public crisis, disaster, rioting,
