MIGHT BE IMPOSED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL SERVICES FOR
CONDUCTING THE AUCTION OR SALE shall be deposited in the General Fund of
the State. If the Department of Budget and Fiscal Planning approves, the money IN
EXCESS OF THE SERVICE CHARGE may be credited to the account of the unit of
the State government that declared the property to be excess personal property.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1990.

AN ACT concerning
Senior Citizen Activities Centers Capital Improvement Grants Program
FOR the purpose of authorizing the Board of Public Works on recommendation of the
Director of the State Office on Aging to award grants to local government
agencies for direct expenditure or for subgrants to nonprofit organizations for the
conversion, acquisition, renovation, planning, design, construction, or
improvement, and/or the purchase of capital equipment for senior citizen
activities centers and the development of master plans for projecting the need for
funds for senior citizen activities centers for a certain period; authorizing the
Director to adopt rules and regulations to implement the program established;
directing use of grants by grantees; providing terms and conditions for the award
of grants; authorizing the recapture of grant funds; providing for certain judicial
proceedings and liens to enforce the State's right of recovery and the priority of
the proceedings and liens; authorizing a representative of the Office to inspect
projects funded by the grants awarded; and ratifying prior actions of the Office
and issuance or sale of bonds relating to senior citizen activities centers prior to
the effective date of this Act.
