The chairman of the County Board is entitled to receive [$1,500] $2,000 annually
as compensation and the other members are entitled to receive [$1,300] $1,800 each
annually as compensation.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That, pursuant to Article III,
Section 35 of the Constitution of Maryland, this Act may not be construed to extend or
apply to the salary or compensation of the chairman and members of the Carroll County
Board of Education in office on the effective date of this Act, but the provisions of this
Act concerning the salary or compensation of the chairman and members of the Carroll
County Board of Education shall take effect at the beginning of the next following term
of office.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1990.

AN ACT concerning

Department of General Services - Proceeds from the Auction or Sale of Surplus

Property

FOR the purpose of providing for the sale of surplus property through the Department
of General Services; and authorizing the Department of General Services to retain
a service charge for the sale of surplus property.
