compensation of the State's Attorney for Cecil County shall take effect at the beginning
of the next following term of office.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1990.

AN ACT concerning

Washington County - County Commissioners - Benefits

FOR the purpose of providing that the County Commissioners of Washington County
are entitled to health insurance and to other fringe benefits regularly provided to
county employees; altering the timing of salary payments to be as provided by the
county payroll system; clarifying language; and providing that this Act and
respecifying that the salary increase for the County Commissioners made in
Chapter 53 of the Acts of 1989 are not applicable to the incumbent County
Commissioners.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

The Public Local Laws of Washington County
Section 1-103

Article 22 - Public Local Laws of Maryland

(1984 Edition, as amended by Chapter 340 of the Acts of the General Assembly of
1985 and by Chapter 53 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1989)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 22 - Washington County

1-103.

(a) The annual salary for a county commissioner is $20,000, payable in monthly
installments AS PROVIDED BY THE COUNTY'S PAYROLL SYSTEM.

(b) The Commissioner elected President of the Board shall receive an additional
$500 per [annum] YEAR.

(C) EACH COUNTY COMMISSIONER IS ENTITLED TO HEALTH
INSURANCE AND TO OTHER FRINGE BENEFITS REGULARLY PROVIDED
TO COUNTY EMPLOYEES.

[(c)] (D) A Commissioner may not receive any other compensation for [his]
