WILLIAM DONALD SCHAEFER, Governor Ch. 70

(a) The Maryland Underground Storage Tank Task Force that was established
by the Governor in August, 1989 and that issued a report in January, 1990 shall be
reconvened to fulfill the requirements of this Act.

(b) (1) The Task Force shall consist of 15 members.

(2) To the extent possible, the members originally appointed to the Task
Force shall be reappointed to serve on the reconvened Task Force.

(c) Of the members appointed, the Task Force shall include:

(1) 1 member of the Senate of Maryland, appointed by the President of the
Senate;

(2) 1 member of the House of Delegates, appointed by the Speaker of the
House;

(3) The Secretary of Budget and Fiscal Planning;

(4) The Secretary of the Environment;

(5) The Secretary of Economic and Employment Development;

(6) The Secretary of Transportation;

(7) The Insurance Commissioner; and

(8) The following members appointed by the Governor:

(i) 1 representative of the Maryland Association of Counties;
(ii) 1 representative of the Maryland Municipal League;

(iii) 1 representative of the Mid-Atlantic Petroleum Dealers
Association;

(iv) 1 representative of the Service Station and Automobile Repair
Association;

(v) 1 representative of the Maryland Petroleum Association;

(vi) 1 representative of the marina industry; and

(vii) 2 members of the general public.

(d) The Governor shall designate the Chairperson from among the members of
the Task Force.

(e) The Departments of Budget and Fiscal Planning, Environment, Economic
and Employment Development, and Transportation, and the Insurance Commission
shall provide the Task Force with the necessary support and staff.

(f) The Task Force shall evaluate:

(1) Methods available to owners and operators of underground storage
