AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE concerning:

Sherwood Forest Special Community Benefit District

FOR the purpose of amending the purposes to be served by the Sherwood Forest
Special Community Benefit District.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Article 6, § 2-104(v-2)(2)
Anne Arundel County Code (1985, as amended)

WHEREAS, By Bill No. 8-88, the County Council established the Sherwood
Forest Special Community Benefit District pursuant to a petition submitted by a
majority of the property owners in Sherwood Forest; and

WHEREAS, One of the purposes proposed in the petition for the Sherwood
Forest Special Community Benefit District was to "purchase, lease, construct or
develop real property"; and

WHEREAS, This purpose was unintentionally omitted from Bill No. 8-88 and,
therefore, was not included among the lawful purposes of the Sherwood Forest Special
Community Benefit District, and the County Council intends at this time to correct that
omission; now, therefore,
