RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, a certain Resolution pertaining to Annexation was introduced at a
regularly scheduled meeting of the Mayor and Council for the Town of Smithsburg,
Maryland, on December 6, 1988; and
WHEREAS, after proper notice in accordance with Article 23A, Section 19 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland, a public hearing was held on Tuesday, the 4th day of
April, 1989, at 7:30 p.m., in Council Chambers, Town Hall, Smithsburg, Maryland.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, ORDAINED AND ENACTED that
the Resolution relating to the enlargement of the Corporate Boundaries of Smithsburg,
Maryland, introduced on December 6, 1988, be and is hereby incorporated herein by
reference and is made a part hereof by reference; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, ORDAINED AND ENACTED as of April, 4,
1989, that said Resolution is hereby adopted in whole as introduced; subject to the
provisions of Article 23A, Section 19 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, and that the
tracts of land set forth herein be and are hereby annexed; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, ORDAINED AND ENACTED that the zoning
of the annexed parcels be and is hereby established in accordance with the petition to
be town residential, said zoning being substantially similar to the current County
classification.

A RESOLUTION of the Mayor and Council of the Town of Sykesville adopted
pursuant to the authority of § 19 of Article 23A of the Annotated Code of Maryland,
permitting annexation of real property by municipal corporations when in conformity
with the requirements of Section 19, Article 23A of the Annotated Code of Maryland,
proposing to annex property described in the attached Exhibit "A" to the corporate
limits of the Town of Sykesville, and setting forth a time and place of public hearing for
