SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

155.

(a) The salaries of the members of the boards of license commissioners shall be
as specified in this section. Where no salary is specified for such boards which serve ex
officio, the members may not receive additional compensation under the provisions of
this section.

[(n) In Howard County, the chairman shall receive three hundred dollars
($300.00), and each of the other members of the County Council shall receive the sum
of two hundred dollars ($200.00) per annum as reimbursement for expenses incurred
for their services in acting as members of the board of license commissioners.]

(N) IN HOWARD COUNTY, THE ANNUAL REIMBURSEMENT FOR
EXPENSES INCURRED IN THE PERFORMANCE OF THE DUTIES OF THE
BOARD OF LICENSE COMMISSIONERS ARE AS FOLLOWS:

(1) CHAIRMAN - $55 PER MEETING ATTENDED; AND

(2) OTHER MEMBERS - $50 PER MEETING ATTENDED.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That, pursuant to Article III,
Section 35 of the Constitution of Maryland, this Act may not be construed to extend or
apply to the increase in the reimbursement of the chairman and the members of the
Howard County Board of License Commissioners in office on the effective date of this
Act, but the provisions of this Act concerning the increase in the reimbursement of the
chairman and the members of the Howard County Board of License Commissioners
shall take effect at the beginning of the next following term of office.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1990.
