Ch. 6 LAWS OF MARYLAND

(1) From the point of junction of the properties and the [water line]
WATERL1NE, a straight line shall be projected along the shore of each of the
properties for a distance of 200 yards[.];

(2) The lines shall follow the general contour of the shore rather than the
irregularities[.]; AND

(3) From this point of junction a line shall be projected over the water
equally dividing the arc formed by the angle between the [two] 2 straight lines laid
down along the shorelines of the respective properties.

(b) Except as otherwise provided in this section, a riparian owner owning the
required amount of shoreline or [his] THE OWNER'S lessee, licensee, or assignee may
not place a stationary blind or blind site within 250 yards of the dividing line of any
property owned by [him] THE OWNER, LESSEE, LICENSEE, OR ASSIGNEE and
the adjoining property bordering on the waters without the consent of the adjoining
landowner.

(c) In the waters of Baltimore County and in the tributaries of the Potomac
River in Charles County, a riparian owner may not place a stationary blind or blind site
within 125 yards of the dividing line of any property owned by [him] THE RIPARIAN
OWNER and the adjoining property owner without the consent of the adjoining
landowner.

(d) In the waters of the Chesapeake Bay opposite Anne Arundel and Calvert
counties, a riparian owner may not place a stationary blind or blind site within 350 yards
of the dividing line of any property owned by [him] THE RIPARIAN OWNER and the
adjoining property owner.

(e) Where the angle between the dividing line and a straight line along either or
both of the adjoining shores is less than 90 degrees, the Secretary may determine where
any stationary blind or blind site may be placed pursuant to the provisions of §
10-617(a) OF THIS SUBTITLE.

10-617.

(b) Subject to the provisions of subsections (c) and (d) OF THIS SECTION, a
riparian owner who owns less than the required amount of shoreline[, his] OR THE
OWNER'S lessee, licensee, or assignee shall place the stakes at least 300 yards from the
nearest licensed stationary blind or blind site.

10-618.

(a) A person may not erect or maintain a stationary blind or blind site for the
purpose of shooting wild waterfowl at a greater distance than [one third] ONE-THIRD
the distance from the shoreline to the opposite shore, or 300 yards from the shoreline,
whichever is less. The Secretary shall be sole judge of what constitutes "opposite shore"
for the purposes of this subsection. Where circumstances require and with regard for
the rights of adjoining owners, the Secretary may designate the points with respect to
distances from shore where the blinds may be placed. Any resident nonowner of
shoreline may not erect a blind site within 150 yards of the nearest dwelling.
