The vote by which, the bill was lost, was re-considered.

The rules were suspended, and the bill reconsidered to a

Mr. Worthington proposed the following amendment:
Strike out "six hundred" and insert "three."
Pending the consideration of which,

On motion of Mr. Morgan,

The further consideration of the bill was disposed with,
and the bill made the order of the day for to-morrow at 12
o'clock.

The Secretary of the Senate returned the following bill:

The bill entitled, an act to amend the eighty-third article
of the Code of Public General Laws, by exempting a certain
amount of property from execution ;

Endorsed "passed by yeas and nays, with the proposed
amendment;"

Amendment proposed:

In the fourth line, of the sixth section, after the Words
"or any contract" strike out the words "or for" and in-
sert the words "or to;"
