GOVERNOR—

to whom were referred the messages of, with re-
ference to the commission of certain acts by the
authorities or citizens of the State of Virginia in--
fringing the rights of the citizens of Maryland,
and the honor of the State, instructed to report,
that a messenger be appointed by joint resolution
of the Senate and House of Delegates, to commu-
nicate with the Governor of Virginia, with refer-
ence to the subject matter of said messages, and
report to the General Assembly, whether or not
certain citizens of Maryland, during the fire at
Harper's Ferry, went over to Virginia, and ap-
. propriated, and brought to this State certain arms
from Harper's Ferry; laid on the table, 39; report
of committee on Federal Relations on the subject,
adopted, 53.

Resolution appointing a Commissioner to confer
with the authorities of Virginia, upon the subject,
read a first time, 53; amended and passed, 62; re-
turned from Senate passed, 67.

Report of Commissioner made, and accepted,
186.

Bill reported to pay commissioner passed, 209;
returned from Senate passed, 251.

Message from, (Document D.) received and
read, 38.

The, requested to inform the House, if the
steamer Pioneer was employed by his order, 61;
reply of, that steamer Pioneer was chartered by
Coleman Yellott, Esq., and that he approved
thereof, referred to joint special committee on
Claims and Mileage, 68.

Resolution requesting the, to direct the Adju-
tant General to furnish the Trappe Cadets of Tal-
bot county with thir ty. muskets and accoutrements,
&c., read the first time, 72.
