On motion of Mr. Gordon,

The committee on Judiciary were discharged from further
consideration of the petition of Mr. Maxwell, relative to a
new election in Cecil county.

Mr. Gordon, from the committee on the Judiciary, report-
ed favorably upon the bill entitled, an act to amend the
eighty-third article of the Code -of Public General Laws, by
exempting a certain amount of property from execution, with
proposed amendments ;

Said bill being upon its second reading,

Amendment proposed—second line, section first, strike out
"three," and insert "one."
