MONDAY, June 24, 1861.

The House met and was opened with prayer by the Rev.
Dr. Zacharias.

Present at the call of the roll the following members:

Messrs. Kilbourn, Speaker, Rasin, Medders, Welch, Mac-
kubin, Compton, Ford, Denison, Qiiinlan, Renshaw, Jones,
of Talbot, Chaplain, Holland, McIntire, Maxwell, Miller,
Bryan, Jones,, of Prhice George's, Legg, Jacobs, Landing,
Kessler, Claggett, Routzahn, Johnson, Salmon, Naill, Golds-

borough, Warfield, Brune, Winans, Pitts, Harrison, Thomas,
Wallis, Sangston, Morfit, Scott, Wilson, McCoy, Brining,
Fiery, Gordon, Barnard, Roop, Mills, Turner, Brown.

The proceedings of Saturday were read.
On motion of Mr. Pitts,

He was excused from serving on the committee to examine
the Executive Record, and Mr. Scott appointed in his stead.

The Sergeant-at-arms made the following

REPORT: .

In obedience to the order of the House, passed on Saturday,
the 22nd inst., instructing me to summons as many of the
members as possible then absent from the deliberations of the
House, to appear in their places on Monday, I duly notified
Messrs. Turner, Brown, Winans, Quinlan, Johnson and
Miller, being all it was possible for me to summons, and they
appear in their seats to-day.

The report was adopted.

Mr. Maxwell moved a reconsideration of the vote by which
the order was passed on Saturday closing the accounts of the
committee on Claims.

The yeas and nays were ordered, and appeared as follow;
